Welcome to The San Francisco Marathon Blog!

As the Race Director of The San Francisco Marathon, I want to keep you updated on what we're doing to get ready for this year's race!

We are happy to report that we are still growing! In only a few years, the race has tripled in size and we are excited because we have always felt that a city like San Francisco needed a major marathon.

Last year, we sold out with 14,500 registrants and this year we've increased the number of spots to 17,500. Already, we have twice as many people signed up for the race as we had last year (YTD) so we are optimistic that this year will be the biggest and best event to date!

Get those New Year's resolutions together and start training for the marathon today! If you haven't registered yet, visit us at www.runsfm.com. We hope you'll join us on July 30, 2006 for another great event!
