It is my hope that your new year is off to a good start! The new year for us has been quite busy.

The Official RunSFM Training Program begins March 7, 2007. Come visit us at Sports Basement (located in the Presidio) on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 to learn more about the program or visit us at Our Training Page.

Last year's mile marks were such a success that we are currently looking for more artists to participate in our banner art program. If you're interested, please email us. Be sure to click the subject: Mile Mark Artists.

In other news:

THANK YOU!

Thank you for a great race! As you may have noticed, we addressed your major concerns and had a phenomenal weekend! We had wonderful weather, a record number of participants and great athletic performances!

As with all races, there's always room for improvement. We have gotten some great feedback this year, including many thank yous and congratulatory remarks as well as some constructive criticisms.

The workload is finally settling down as we are ready to launch for 2007! We have decided to implement a new finish line system at the end of the 1st Half Marathon. Since the system at the Full and 2nd Half Marathon Finish works so well, we will emulate the two finish lines.

In addition, we are still securing sponsors for the 2007 race. If you or anyone you know is interested, please email us.

Keep checking back to see what else we are working on throughout the year to make 2007 our best race yet!

Planning on extending your stay?

We've been working closely with the San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau to help you plan your stay in San Francisco. Whether you're looking for a day tour or a week full of activities, here's what the Bureau has to offer:

From our familiar icons like the Golden Gate Bridge and the Crookedest Street, to our unique neighborhoods and mouth-watering cuisine, San Francisco is a place you’ll want to visit again and again.

Take the night ghost tour on Alcatraz or climb the stairway up to Coit Tower. Enjoy a bowl of soup in a sourdough bread bowl or test your culinary palette in Chinatown. Breathe in the fresh air from the Pacific Ocean or soothe your soul at the Japanese Tea Garden.

From spas, tours, museums, or adventures beyond the Bay, there are many things to do while you’re here. Take a look at our event calendar for a list of specific events going on throughout the entire month of July. Or figure out where to eat and where to shop while you’re here.

Baseball fans may want to arrive a few days early and get tickets to watch the SF Giants play the San Diego Padres. Or, stay a few days later and watch the Giants play the Washington Nationals. And there’s always the standing local favorite performance of Beach Blanket Babylon.

You’ll find all of these experiences and more right here, Only in San Francisco . Visit us now and plan your trip today!
